All Horizon  Shepherds Huts are constructed in Devon following the original 19th century design, incorporating traditional features with the added comforts of 21st century technology. Our huts are built to a very high standard and quality level.

  Our Shepherds Huts are perfect as a home office, luxury accommodation or summer house.  Commercially, Shepherds Huts have been used as luxury self catering accommodation, B&B, street food huts and hair salons.  The opportunities are endless for those looking to diversify.

Background of the Shepherds Hut

Shepherds huts  were originally made for the shepherds to stay in during the lambing period, to provide a simple yet effective shelter for them which also had the benefit of being able to be moved to follow the sheep and move around the farm where needed.

 The original huts would of been far less luxurious then our modern design  however the main design of the structure of the huts would of been very similar such as a the large cast iron wheels and solid oak chassis,

TAILOR MADE SHEPHERDS HUTS.

Our standard shepherds hut is built to a high specification, with lots of optional extras available such as bathrooms, fitted furniture and folding beds and tables.

All huts have sheep’s wool insulation throughout. Our standard hut comes ready to use, with solar panels and wood burning stove, so just add furniture and you are ready to enjoy your hut.

Many of our customers add more themselves or choose our bespoke service. All furniture is made to order from complete kitchens to toilets and shower rooms.
